SCPM/PYROCON12 external control and third-party sensor input

Use the controller revision’s input wiring and P07 zone logic for integration.

The PYROCON12 revision 5.2.5 manual documents an optional third-party sensor input and model-dependent P07 logic. An SCPM cabinet must be checked against its actual controller and wiring diagram before a home-automation interface is selected.

In the attached guide’s page-4 diagram, R and C are the 24 VAC supply connections and terminal 1 is the third-party snow-demand input. The optional GIT-1 sensor is shown using R, C and 1. This does not make terminal 1 a line-voltage input or establish compatibility with every smart-home output.

Page 10 lists these P07 choices, where supported by the model:

  • 0: all outputs controlled by PYROSENSE; outputs 4 and 5 operate together.
  • 1: outputs 1–4 controlled by PYROSENSE, output 5 by the third-party input.
  • 2: all outputs controlled by the third-party input.
  • 3: a snow signal from either sensor source triggers all zones.

A qualified controls installer must match the external interface’s voltage, contact arrangement and isolation to the cabinet diagram and verify the available P07 choices. Do not connect line voltage or an unrelated power source to the low-voltage terminals. Keep the system’s ground-fault and temperature protection in service.
