Use the model’s mounting instructions and preserve ventilation and access.
Do not fit an Ember panel tightly into a wall recess or cover its edges with trim. The Ember manual describes installation with the supplied mounting hardware; it does not provide a general flush-recess installation detail.
The manual requires at least 1 inch behind the panel for ventilation and 10 inches between its front and other objects. Keep a plug accessible for immediate disconnection where a plug connection is used. Follow the exact model’s mounting template and leave enough room to engage and release the mounting hardware.
The attached Ember Flex mounting illustration shows why installation movement matters: its annotated mounting-slot movement is 2.75 inches horizontally and 1⅛ inches vertically. Those annotations are not a complete recess design or a substitute for the required operating clearances.
Ember Flex and Ember Glass have different mounting permissions: the manual allows the indicated Flex mounting method on walls and ceilings, while Glass panels are wall-mounted only. Use the supplied hardware and the instructions for the actual model. A proposed recess that changes that mounting arrangement needs a model-specific installation detail before construction.
