nSpire Touch thermostat errors and locked screens

Troubleshoot E0, E1, E2, E5, and screen-lock messages on the UDG4-4999 nSpire Touch thermostat.

This guidance applies to the UDG4-4999 nSpire Touch thermostat.

  • E0: internal failure. Contact the installer; the manual calls for replacement.
  • E1: internal sensor defective or short-circuited. Contact the installer for replacement.
  • E2: external wired floor sensor disconnected, defective, or short-circuited. Have the installer reconnect or replace it as needed.
  • E5: internal overheating. Have the installation inspected.

The thermostat shuts heating off when these errors occur.

Three circles containing dots indicate Child Lock on versions that support it. Follow the Child Lock instructions in the manual to unlock the screen. Child Lock is not available in software version 1012N100.

If the screen says Press on the filled circle, pressure may have been applied while the thermostat powered up. Hold the right-side power/reset button to switch it off, then press it again to restart. If the problem persists, contact the installer or WarmlyYours Technical Support.
